Kendra (Hodges) West is a mother of 3 and grandmother of 7. She has been serving as a Town of Fort Cobb Trustee since June of 2020. She is a lifelong resident of the Fort Cobb community. She was born in Fort Cobb and grew up on her family farm north of town and graduated from Fort Cobb Public Schools in 1980. In 1991 Kendra obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha, OK. She is a veteran teacher of 27 years with the majority of her tenure teaching middle school language arts at Fort Cobb-Broxton Schools.
Kendra believes it’s a privilege to serve her community as a trustee and a position she takes very seriously. Since her appointment to the board, the trustees have assembled a team of people dedicated to the improvement of the town’s aging infrastructure, the development of community beautification projects and encourage economic development. Her goal is to work closely with the team to provide the citizens of Fort Cobb a safe environment and promote a more effective and efficient city government.

A lifelong resident of the Fort Cobb community, Nancy Henderson was born in Fort Cobb and grew up southwest of town. She graduated from Fort Cobb Public Schools in 1982. Nancy has served the Town of Fort Cobb as Trustee from May of 2018 to the present. She served as Mayor for the 4½ years. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, former cosmetologist and presently a registered nurse.
Nancy completed Cosmetology at Caddo Kiowa Vocational Technical Center in 1982, owning and operating a salon in Fort Cobb until 2007. In 2008, Nancy attended Cameron University and Western Oklahoma State University to obtain her Associates Degree in Nursing then went on to Southwestern Oklahoma University to complete her Bachelor of Sciences in 2012. Since that time, she has worked in the Emergency Room at the United States Public Health Service in Lawton (Lawton Indian Hospital Emergency Department).
Nancy has spent countless hours volunteering her time in the community, the Fort Cobb Fair and the Oak Grove Cemetery. Her passion, compassion and assertive nature make her a fearless leader and one who runs toward any challenge she, her family, or her community may face. This makes her an ideal supervisor at USPHS and a natural to serve as the Mayor for the Town of Fort Cobb and trustee. She is fair-minded and carefully considers how her decisions will affect Fort Cobb citizens.
